We love Harry Potter and Doctor Who here at AtomicFact. The stunning thing about these two series is the sheer number of actors who've been lucky enough to appear in both. Here is a list of 15 of our favorite crossovers - the crazy thing is, this isn't even an exhaustive list!
Helen McCrory
Potterheads will know McCrory as Narcissa Malfoy, while fans of the Doctor will recognize her as the Saturnynian queen Rosanna Calvierri in the episode The Vampires of Venice.
David Tennant
Perhaps the most famous crossover on this list, Tennant played the 10th incarnation of the Doctor and he appeared in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire as Barty Crouch Jr.
Jimmy Gardner
You probably know Gardner as the driver of the Knight Bus in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but he also played an alien named Idmon in a 1978 episode of Doctor Who.
Zoë Wanamaker
Wanamaker played Flying teacher Rolanda Hooch in the Harry Potter films, and the last living human named Lady Cassandra in Doctor Who.
Jeff Rawle
Rawle plays Amos Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (father to Cedric Diggory), and played Plantagenet in a 1984 episode of Doctor Who.
Roger Lloyd Pack
Roger Lloyd Pack appeared as Barty Crouch Sr. in the Harry Potter films, and played the creator of the Cybermen, John Lumic, in Doctor Who. He sadly passed away in 2014.
John Cleese
Cleese played Nearly Headless Nick in the Harry Potter films and has a tiny cameo in a Doctor Who episode named City of Death.
Jessica Hynes
Hynes provided the voice for Mafilda Hopkirk in the Harry Potter films before the character appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, where she was played by a different actress. In Doctor Who, she played three separate related characters who The Doctor meets at various points in time.
Jim Broadbent
Broadbent played Horace Slughorn in the Harry Potter films, and he played a version of the eight Doctor in a one-off charity episode of Doctor Who called The Curse of Fatal Death.
David Bradley
Bradley played the squib Argus Filch in the Harry Potter films, and he voiced the vulture-like aliens known as the Shansheeth in Doctor Who.
Adrian Rawlins
Rawlins is best known as James Potter, but he also had an appearance in Doctor Who as the leader of the Ood rebellion.
Shirley Henderson
Henderson played Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films, and played Ursula Blake in the Doctor Who episode Love & Monsters. A interesting fact about Henderson - she was actually 37 years old when she first played Moaning Myrtle!
Bill Nighy
Not to be confused with the science guy, Nighy played Rufus Scrimgeour in the Harry Potter films, and has a cameo as Vincent van Gogh expert in the Doctor Who episode Vincent and the Doctor
Toby Jones
Jones voiced the character of Dobby the House elf in the Harry Potter films, and played the super-creepy Dream Lord in the Doctor Who episode Amy’s Choice.
