A 23-year-old student named Emad Elsayed faces deportation after making threatening statements about Presidential candidate Donald Trump. The Californian student, originally from Egypt, made the error in Feburary when he posed on Facebook, "If I killed this guy I wouldn't mind serving a life sentence and the world would thank me."
Mr Elsayed has now been detained by federal agents, who are seeking to potentially deport him back to his native Egyptian home.

Elsayed studies at the Californian Universal Air Academy, which it is understood that one of his instructors saw his Facebook comment. Alarmed by this, the instructor informed the FBI, who forwarded the case to the Joint Terrorism Task Force, the State Department and the Secret Service.
Both Mr. Elsayed, and his instructor, Alex Khatib have been questioned by the police. According to court documents, Elsayed's home has also been searched.
According to Mr. Khatib, "the State Department revoked Mr. Elsayed's M-1 visa and that it was better for Mr. Elsayed to leave the country," according to the instructor's written testimony. "They told me that there were no criminal charges to be filed against Mr. Elsayed, and that the only thing that is left is to terminate his I-20. Based on their information and their suggestion, I terminated the I-20 of Mr. Elsayed."

Mr Elsayed's lawyer is clearly furious about the whole ordeal, "Immigration has been used as a way to punish him and get him out of the country after the U.S. attorney's office — which is the highest judicial arm of the executive branch — declined to prosecute this case and bring it to court."
The case will reconvene on March 4th.
